Oakwood Academy Schools
A Welcome From Our Founder
As Oakwood Academy Schools celebrate 50 years, I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought us here. What began in 1975 with a single preschool has grown into a school community that has supported and educated thousands of children over the years.
From the very beginning, my goal was to create a school that offered strong academics in an environment where children feel cared for, respected, and supported as individuals. That vision has remained the foundation of our schools — made possible by dedicated teachers and families who believe in the value of education.
We warmly welcome new families and invite you to learn more, ask questions, and discover if Oakwood Academy Schools is the right fit for your child.
Warm Regards,
Phyllis Duke

Extra-Curricular Lessons Offered
On-campus enrichment such as piano, karate, dance, and gymnastics allows children to explore interests, build confidence, and develop new skills during the school day.
Qualified & Caring Educators
OAS is proud of its experienced and dedicated staff, with over 20 team members serving the school for 10-35 years. Low teacher turnover means consistency, strong relations, and educators who truly know your child.
Safe & Secure Campus
Families receive individual gate access codes, and students are supervised to their parent or guardian during pick-up.
Multiple Tuition Payment Plans
Flexible payment options include weekly, monthly, or four-week tuition plans. This flexibility helps families choose a schedule that best fits their budget, without sacrificing quality education or care.
Faith & Values
Our program is rooted in Christian-based principles. Each month, students have the option to participate in Bible Study, where they explore meaningful lessons and character qualities through traditional, non-denominational Bible stories.
While not part of the academic curriculum, these optional sessions focus on teaching morals, values, and Christian principles through stories and songs.
We also say a simple prayer before meals as a way to practice gratitude and mindfulness together.
